Staying Connected is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing volunteer assistance to our Sun city neighbors facing life’s challenges.

Our Mission & Vision

Staying Connected is committed to assist Sun City Hilton Head residents remain engaged in our active adult community by providing a helping hand and access to information, support and services which allow them to address life’s challenges.

Our History

In 2013 Sun City was 15 years old and growing. It was “home” and where we wanted to live, active and independent. But for some, “life happens” moments were making independent living a challenge.

 In March of that year, the Sun City Board of Directors issued a call to action, inviting interested residents to join a Task Force on “Aging in Place.” Ten dedicated individuals responded and were tasked with the significant challenge of researching and establishing an organization complete with a budget and a Board of Directors. After 18 months of diligent work, Staying Connected, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, was officially formed. In November 2014, the Sun City Board of Directors recognized Staying Connected as a Service Organization, and we opened our Hub. We began delivering our first services in February 2015, services that we continue to offer to this day.

Many of our original volunteers remain active, and their dedication, along with that of our current volunteers, has been instrumental in making Staying Connected an essential and vibrant part of the Sun City community. To all our enthusiastic friends, supporters, and volunteers, thank you for your unwavering commitment!
