Remembering Tom Hahn
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Staying Connected President, Tom Hahn.
Tom began his service with us in 2018 as a Home Maintenance volunteer, and then became Coordinator. As time went on, he immersed himself in the Staying Connected culture looking for ways to expand his efforts, helping not only our members, but all the residents of Sun City. He was directly responsible for recognizing the potential and need for our newest service, The Lending Closet. This valuable service is now available to all in our Sun City Community.
When our past president, Hugh Armstrong retired in 2024, Tom stepped into the leadership role with dedication and purpose. Our mission became his mission. As we headed into our 12th year of operations, he brought forward thoughtful ideas and a strong vision for the organization’s future. Tom valued our volunteers deeply and often recognized them in his monthly Volunteer Vibes Newsletter.
Tom leaves a lasting legacy. We are fortunate that Michael Cline, the Board of Directors Vice President, has agreed to continue in Tom’s role as President. Michael shares, “It was an honor to work with Tom. He was a true visionary and was wholeheartedly committed to our organization. I will work to continue on the path he established.”
